California Love

We went to Coronado Island last weekend for a little getaway with the kids. We drove over early Friday and then came back Sunday afternoon. The perfect mini vacation. Our hotel was great because it was super kid friendly (Loews Coronado Bay Resort)! They had toys for the kids brought up to the room and a pink crib set up for Cate. After we checked in, we went to the beach for little while. Mike took Will in the water, and I think he really liked that. At one point they were looking away and a wave came and knocked Will down. Mike called it a "sneaky wave", and Will thought that was the funniest thing! He was saying "sneaky wave" all weekend long. On Saturday we went to Sea World. That was a lot of fun. We stayed there half the day (6 hours) and then headed back to the hotel to hang out by the pool for a bit. We returned to Sea World the next day to see the rest of the things we had missed the day before. The biggest thing being Shamu- can't go to Sea World and not see Shamu! Will definitely liked Shamu. During Shamu's performance Cate and I took a stroll because she was getting restless. The funniest thing was when a lady stopped me and asked if Cate had experienced the Shamu Splash. It took me a second to realize what she was talking about- I had put so much sunblock on Cate that her hair looked wet, but was really just greasy! I just nodded to the lady letting her think Cate's hair was wet from Shamu:)

Mike and I were talking about how our trip couldn't have gone any better!
